Ramble with Cats
Okay guys, I’ve been sitting here for like an hour trying to write something and I’m getting nowhere, so we’re doing another ten minute ramble for this morning. To be fair I did talk to my mom for a little while in there. I’ve been helping her with her resume which is a hug pain, the resume building, not the helping my mom. Resumes are hard, man, I just did that this summer and it was awful. It’s harder, I think when you’ve never had to do one and you don’t know what you’re doing. So we’ve been having a resume writing adventure this week.
My kittens are playing in the other half of the room where I can’t see them and it makes me nervous. They know they’re not supposed to get on the table or scratch the carpet or anything, but they also know that if they don’t get caught they don’t get squirted so they sometimes sneak up on the table anyway. They’re very special cats. They were playing with my yoga mat yesterday and this morning since I left it out in the hopes of seeing it and being motivated to get on it. I really need to start working out again. I haven’t like all winter.
I feel bad about the lack of running I’ve been doing, but the circumstances have been against me lately. I ran a little while it was nice, but then it got cold and I’m super not into running in the cold, and then I got a cold which kind of inhibits ones running abilities and so I waited that out and now I’ve lost my earbuds and I have a pair of super cheap ones, but they’re also super uncomfortable and I don’t want to run in them. So I’ll get new earbuds eventually and hopefully get back to running.
My kitten is making noises at me. They’re a very vocal pair, which I’m not super used to, but I think they’re cute at least. Except when they cry at the door at 6 in the morning when we don’t get up until 7 usually. They might be good for us, actually, getting up on time. But they are incessant and annoying until one of us gets up and feeds them, which is usually me because Logan can somehow sleep through their crying. I have no idea how he does it. But this morning I super didn’t want to get up, so I let them cry until Logan actually woke up to feed them on his way to the shower.
They also do this super cute thing where they get one of the soft toys and come trotting in with it in their mouth, meowing around it for my attention. They’re funny cats. They also like to flop and then want to be farther up so they’ll drag themselves across the carpet on their side. I like having cats around, it’s always interesting and often times I get to have cats sleeping on me, which is a great excuse not to get up and do something I don’t want to do. It’s also troublesome when I have to pee or eat or something that requires movement, but you know, you win some, you lose some.
Today I’m going to try and be good. I’m going to try and do some writing stuff and some yoga and maybe clean, who knows? But I will be productive in some way. I might go for a walk, but it’s kind of wet outside and I do hate wet shoes and socks so maybe not. I’m glad I didn’t water the irises. I thought about it since it didn’t actually rain yesterday, but it was supposed to so I kept putting it off and feeling bad and then it rained last night, so it’s okay now.
That’s my ten minutes. As always, I hope you’ve enjoyed this peek into my head and I hope you have a lovely day, my friends.
