A Purple NaNoWriMo 3
So today I ran and that was okay. I’m running another 5k on Thanksgiving and need to get in shape again. I feel like I’m always trying to catch up to where I was at the last 5k every time I try and train for a new one. I’m thinking maybe I’ll run again tomorrow, since I didn’t do too much running today. I forgot to turn on my Runkeeper and also forgot my sunglasses, so that was a thing. Anyway, I’m getting a super late start today because of that and I have a lot of things to do later so I’ve got to hop to it.
I’m listening to a podcast about assassinations right now and I’ve somehow gone somewhere unexpected with my novel yesterday, though I got through the 2000 words I was aiming for so that was cool. I kind of feel like I’m wandering at this point, just trying to find my way, I keep coming out with new characters that I had no idea existed and I’m not sure if they should be kept or not. They could change a lot about Sage and his life and how he grew up and his attitude towards his father and stuff. Presidential assassinations, by the way, a guy being interviewed about writing a children’s book on presidential assassinations. It’s pretty cool. Teddy Roosevelt was kind of a beast.
So today I think I’ll aim for 1,500 words today because I don’t have as much time to do all the things as I’d like. I’d like to go shopping today because I’ve needed to go shopping forever and today I actually have the car and tomorrow I’ll have to take Calamity to the vet for her shots so that won’t be a thing then and there are so many things that we need. Anyway, I think I’ll start with the yarn shopping before hopping up to Target for the rest of my stuff and maybe buy some things for my cousin’s baby. I haven’t decided yet.
I’m hoping that I can keep up the schedule I’ve set up for the month. It seems to be working out pretty well, but I could easily fall out of it or burn out or what have you. Anything is possible! I also hope I’ll be able to find my way to the end of the story as opposed to just filling the word count, which is also a possibility. We’ll see what happens, I guess. Or not. I might just keep wandering around the story forever and it’ll never end at all.
